Doctor to RESUS — triage

Doctor to RESUS — triage.

A 67-year-old woman has just been triaged with recurrent dizziness and near-syncope.

She saw her GP this week with a sore throat and was started on erythromycin. She has had diarrhoea for three days, which she has put down to the antibiotic.

Her regular medicines include sotalol and furosemide.

Her heart rate at triage was concerningly high, so she has been moved straight from triage to RESUS.
